EFE Leyland
Tiger TS8, repainted in the pre-war Western SMT black and white livery,

service buses. The black and white livery was retained, in the post-war
era, for coaches mainly employed on private hire, touring and long-distance
work only.
Lavishly
detailed with Western legal lettering, max. speed/ u.w., reg.nos. front
and rear etc. Destination blind shows 'Paisley'. Supplied in an original
EFE box, which is in good condition, and which is re-labelled as appropriate.
Complements the excellent EFE Western SMT Leyland TD1 in the same 1930s
livery. Compatible with 'OO' gauge model railways. A unique item for
collectors of die-cast Scottish buses, particularly in this 75th anniversary
year of the formation of Western SMT in 1932

SMT Co. Ltd. - AEC Regal I
Catalogue Ref: 02/10B1/0110
Price: Please e-mail
A
batch of 39 AEC Regal 1s, all with Burlingham bodywork, was delivered
new to Western SMT Co. Ltd. in 1946. Most lasted with Western until
1959 but 12 were re-built as Regent II double-deckers in 1954-55. The
pre-war style of the Burlingham bodywork (comparatively rare in the
Western fleet) is well reflected by the EFE standard casting. A second
batch of 11 Regal 1s followed in 1947 but with Brush bodywork.
This model is finished in Westerns post-war red and cream service
bus livery and carries the distinctive AEC radiator badge.
